To celebrate the divine appearance of Supreme Personality of Godhead, a three day festival entitled Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav is being held at Hare Krishna Mandir in North Guwahati

The three day festivities is being held from September 3 to September 5

Besides divine darshan of Radha and Krishna, devotees can witness soul-stirring Kirtans and Bhajans, grand Mangala, Sandhya & Midnight Aratis , enjoy beautiful inspiring cultural performances

Devotees can also gorge on sumptuous Krishna Prasadam and participate in special sevas and offerings like Makhan Mishri Seva, Annadanam Seva and Jhulan Seva

The temple will held a special Maha Abhishekam of Sri Sri Radha Shyamsundar at 10 PM on September 4

One of the most cherished moments of Sri Krishna Janmashtami is the Maha Abhishekam of the Utsava Deities.

The divine forms of Krishna and His eternal consorts are lovingly worshipped with fragrant oils and ceremonially bathed with sacred ingredients including milk, yoghurt, ghee, honey, sacred water, fresh fruit juices, aromatic turmeric paste and holy Ganges water

The ceremony concludes with a magnificent shower of fresh flowers until Their Lordships are completely covered in a beautiful bed of blossoms, creating a breathtaking sight for all devotees.
