Shohe was reacting to a news article, published in some print and electronic media sites, which says that deputy chief minister Y Patton and some senior BJP leaders were forming an alliance with NPF.

Denouncing the report, Shohe said, โ€œAs Naga society is going through a critical phase in the political front, such irresponsible reports may even lead to a detrimental law and order situation in the state.โ€

โ€œThe article continued to be circulated despite the state BJP president Temjen Imna Along calling it as a rumour,โ€ Shohe further said in the release.

โ€œNagaland BJP works solely on the directives of central leaders and maintaining an alliance or re-alliance was not a matter of the state, but the central high command in Delhi,โ€ he further said.

โ€œThe present PDA alliance is maintaining transparency and accountability,โ€ Shohe further said.

He also asked all news agencies to maintain their credibility by proper authentication before publishing such news reports.

That communique warned that it would take โ€œany actionโ€ if the trend continued.

It reaffirmed the statement made by BJP national general secretary in charge of North East Ram Madhav that the pre-poll agreement with the NDPP was a โ€œgentlemanly oneโ€.

The BJP Nagaland demanded to clarify on the source of the news in which the article stated Ram Madhavโ€™s removal from his aforesaid post and correlating it to a subsequent change of deputy chief minister Y Patton.

The party also demanded the authors of the article to clarify on the alleged meeting of NSCN-IM general secretary Th. Muivah, former chief minister and current leader of Opposition TR Zeliang and deputy chief minister and state BJP Legislature Party leader Y Patton at Camp Hebron on September 24 and the formation of a new government.
