Terming demonetisation as a โ€œterror attackโ€, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday said those behind the โ€œviciousโ€ assault have yet to be brought to justice.

Gandhi tweeted, โ€œItโ€™s 3 years since the Demonetisation terror attack that devastated the Indian economy, taking many lives, wiping out lakhs of small businesses & leaving millions of Indians unemployed.โ€

โ€œThose behind this vicious attack have yet to be brought to justice,โ€ he further added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had in 2016 revealed that the decision of demonetization was taken to counter terror funding, corruption and hoarding of black money.
