China, which claims Arunachal Pradesh as a part of South Tibet, said, โ€œAmit Shahโ€™s visit to the state violated Beijingโ€™s territorial sovereignty. The visit sabotages the political mutual trust.โ€

This is not for the first time that China has objected the visit of an Indian politician to the state.

Objecting the visit, Chinaโ€™s foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said that the Countryโ€™s position regarding Arunachal Pradesh, which according to them is South Tibet, is consistent and clear.

โ€œThe Chinese government has never recognised the so-called Arunachal Pradesh,โ€ India Today reported quoting Shuang.

He further said that the Chinese government firmly opposed Shahโ€™s visit to Arunachal Pradesh, which they claim as the southern part of Chinaโ€™s Tibet region.

Shuang added that Shahโ€™s visit violated Chinaโ€™s territorial sovereignty, undermined the stability of the border area, apart from sabotaging political mutual trust.

โ€œShahโ€™s visit violated the relevant bilateral agreement,โ€ Shuang further added.

โ€œThe Chinese side urges the Indian side to stop taking any action that may further complicate the border issue and take concrete actions to uphold peace and tranquillity of the border area,โ€ the India Today report further said.
