Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) DG AP Maheshwari has gone into self-quarantine, two days after the CRPF chief medical officer tested positive for coronavirus.

In an official statement, it was mentioned that the DG has decided to go into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure.

The statement further informed that even though the DG didnโ€™t directly come in contact medical officer, however, other personnel had met him recently and this person was in direct contact with the CMO.

โ€œEven though the direct contact tested negative for coronavirus, the DG, however, is not taking any chances and as per protocol he has decided to go into self-quarantine,โ€ the statement added.

The CRPF CMO, who was residing in Officersโ€™ Mess in Saket (Delhi), was tested positive on Thursday.
