โ€œAt least three COVID-19 cases were traced to an event that was held in the mosque premises on March 12. Reportedly, around 100 people took part in the event,โ€ Sarma said while addressing the media.

โ€œToday morning we came to know that the two COVID-19 patients from Dhubri stayed in the Athgaon Kabristan Masjid,โ€ Sarma added.

โ€œMoreover, the patient who died of coronavirus in Hailakandi today also stayed in the masjid for a brief moment,โ€ the minister further added.

โ€œBecause of these reasons, we have declared the mosque as a containment zone and sealed for 14 days,โ€ the minister further added.

โ€œNo one will be either allowed to enter or exit from the mosque premises for the next 14 days,โ€ Sarma further said.
