Barpetaโ€™s one Saranga Sarma tied the nuptial knot with Barasha Goswami of Gobindapur village amid the nationwide lockdown.

Both bride and the groom followed the lockdown norms and wore a mask, used hand sanitizer and performed the marriage formalities in the presence of limited guests.

The groomโ€™s family even distributed around 100 facemasks to the people of the locality.

The locals termed it as โ€˜lockdown marriageโ€™ and hey blessed the couple and wished them a happy future.

โ€œLife will have to move on even during the lockdown. The marriage was conducted following every lockdown protocol,โ€ said a groomโ€™s relative.

โ€œWe strictly followed the social distancing norms. The marriage was conducted in a sober manner and we did not indulge in an extravagant celebration,โ€ the relative added.
