A female worker of the Communist Party of India- Marxist (CPI (M)) was injured in Agartala on Monday when the group of silent protesters she was a part of was attacked by the police.
The All India Democratic Womenโs Association on Monday called a state-wide protest demonstration against the rising crime against women in Tripura.

โWe were protesting by adhering to social distancing norms when police tried to arrest us forcibly,โ said CPI (M) leader Jharna Devi.
โLipika Das- an active member of our organisation- was injured in the scuffle,โ Devi added.
