Tripura Police have arrested four youths and seized a huge quantity of brown sugar from their possession.
The police arrested the youths from Bagma in Gomoti district on Friday night.

The arrested youths are in the age group of 21-23 years.
The police launched the operation on a tip-off that a group of youths was moving from Shantirbazar to Agartala in a white car with drugs.
According to information, a team of police from Bagma outpost set up a naka check post near the police outpost.

“As a white car was moving towards the naka check post at about 10 pm, the police personnel on duty stopped the car and started checking,” sources said.
“During the search, the police recovered brown sugar in 300 small containers,” sources said.
The police arrested the youths and seized the drugs.
Police said the value of the seized brown sugar will be approximately over Rs 1 lakh.
The arrested youths have been identified as 21-year-old Pritam Saha, 23-year-old Suman Majumdar, 20-year-old Sayan Debnath and 21-year-old Pradeep Sarkar.
