RIIN aims at preventing โoutsidersโ from obtaining fake indigenous certificates for seeking jobs and benefits of government schemes.
Meanwhile, the Joint Committee for Prevention of Illegal Immigrants (JCPI) has accused the Nagaland government of โdeliberately missingโ the โright timeโ to table the Banuo Commissionโs report on RIIN in the Assembly.
The JCPI has demanded โdocumentation and authentication of any indigenous Inhabitants certificate issued henceforthโ.
โIf the creation of RIIN is to prevent issuance of fake indigenous inhabitant certificates, safety measures should be taken as thousands of such certificates will be issued after the recent results of the post matriculation and secondary boards,โ it stated.
