Imphal: The Seventh Session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly will resume on March 9, 2026, and continue through seven sittings until March 17.
Lawmakers will convene daily and begin proceedings at 11:00 A.M. in the Assembly Hall, Imphal.
According to Assembly Secretary Rohit Sapam, the opening day will begin with obituary references, followed by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) report, discussion of supplementary demands for grants for 2025โ26, and presentation of the Budget Estimates for 2026โ27.
The House will also discuss the Governorโs Address and introduce government bills on the first day.
On March 10, members will hold a general discussion on the supplementary demands for grants for 2025โ26, followed by discussion and voting on the demands. Deliberations on the Budget Estimates 2026โ27 will begin, and the Manipur Appropriation (No. 1) Bill, 2026 is scheduled for introduction.
The March 11 sitting will feature committee report presentations, voting on grants, passage of the Manipur Appropriation (No. 1) Bill, 2026, and election of three financial committees.
From March 12 to 17, the schedule includes daily question hours, introduction of government bills, and voting on departmental grants. The session will close after considering the Manipur Appropriation (No. 2) Bill, 2026 and hearing Private Membersโ Business.
