Guwahati: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) unveiled its initial set of 14 candidates for the 2026 Assam Assembly elections on Sunday, March 15, covering key constituencies across the state.
The party shared that nominees have been finalized for several seats, including Naoboicha, Dergaon, Gohpur, Central Guwahati, and Sibsagar, along with other constituencies.
For Naoboicha, Achyut Das will contest, while Pulin Gogoi has been named for Dergaon. Jarbom Kutum is fielded from Gohpur, and Anurupa Dekaraja will run from Central Guwahati.
Other selected candidates include Ashis Hazarika from Khumtai, Tapan Gogoi from Sibsagar, Tikendra Thapa from Ranganadi, and Zahidul Islam Khan from Chenga.
The remaining nominations feature Ranjeet Boro for Naduar, Pallav Saikia for Titabar, Jinna Amir Hussain for East Goalpara, Barun Bikas Das for Raha, Menuka Timungpi for Bokajan, and Ananta Gogoi for Biswanath.
According to AAP officials, the candidate list was finalized after detailed discussions with local party units and grassroots leaders, ensuring that each regionโs interests were represented in the upcoming elections.
