National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or jobs of Eminent External Professional (EEP) in the areas of Transport Planning and Transport Economics on contract basis in 2026.
Name of post : Eminent External Professional (Transport Planner)

Eligibility Criteria :
Professionals from Open Market, Research Fellows/ Scholars from Educational institutions such as Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other recognized Universities/ Institutions of national and international repute/ADB/World Bank and other multilateral institutions, possessing the following eligibility criteria:
(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a University or Institute; and
(ii) Post Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Transport Planning from a University or Institute; and
(iii) Minimum 5 Years of experience in the field of transport planning/highway planning/ traffic engineering/ mobility planning/modelling, or experience in assessment of transport project, preferably road projects.

Eligibility Criteria :
Professional from Open Market/ Research Fellows/ Scholars from Educational institutions such as Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other recognized Universities/Institutions of national and international repute/ADB/World Bank and other multilateral institutions, possessing the following eligibility criteria:
(i) Master’s Degree in Economics from a recognized University or Institute; and
(ii) Minimum 5 Years of experience in economic analysis of financial appraisal of projects, preferably in transport or road sector.
