Guwahati: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Deputy Speaker Bijit Gwra Narzary was found dead at his residence in Kumarikata in Assamโ€™s Tamulpur district on Wednesday evening, August 26.

Narzary, a BJP leader representing the Darrangajuli constituency in the BTC, was found at his residence, police said. The circumstances surrounding his death are being ascertained.

BTC chief and Bodoland Peopleโ€™s Party president Hagrama Mohilary expressed grief over Narzaryโ€™s sudden death.

In a condolence message, Mohilary described the BJP leaderโ€™s death as an irreparable loss to the community and public life. He extended condolences to Narzaryโ€™s family, friends, colleagues and supporters.

Former BTC chief and United Peopleโ€™s Party Liberal (UPPL) president Pramod Boro also condoled Narzaryโ€™s death.

Boro expressed sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed leaderโ€™s soul, wishing strength to his family and others affected by the loss.
