Dimoria College Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts or career of Principal in 2026.

Eligibility Criteria :
1. A Master’s degree with at least 55%% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) by a recognised University.
2. A Ph.D. Degree in concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline(s) in the institutions concerned with evidence of published work.
3. Associate Professor / Professor with a total experience of fifteen years of teaching/research /Administration in University / Colleges and other institutions of Higher Education.
4. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal in Appendix III for direct recruitment of Professors in Colleges
5. A relaxation of 5% marks may be provided at the graduate and Master’s level for the SC/ ST / Differently abled (physically and visually differently abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of categories mentioned above are permissible based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.
6. A relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph D Degree holders who their Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991
Age : Upper age limit of 55 years, as on 01/07/2026, as per prescribed Rules.
Now the UGC vide regulations dated vide regulations dated 18.07.2018 has modified the
eligibility criteria for the post of the Principals of Provincialised Colleges as shown below:
i. A Ph. D. Degree.
ii. Professor/Associate Professor with a total service / experience of atleast fifteen (15) years of teaching/ research in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of Higher Education.
iii. A minimum of 10 Research Publications in peer reviewed or UGC listed journals.
iv. A minimum of 110 Research Score as per Appendix Il at Table -2.
