Assam Agricultural University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project Staff under the project entitled “Development of Climate Resilient Millet Based Cropping System.” Assam Agricultural University is the first institution of its kind in the whole of North-Eastern Region of India. The main goal of this institution is to produce globally competitive human resources in farm sector and also to carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas for production optimization as well as to disseminate the generated technologies as public good for benefitting the food growers/produces and traders involved in the sector while emphasizing on sustainability, equity and overall food security at household level. Assam Agricultural University was altogether established on April 1, 1969 under The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968’ with the mandate of imparting farm education, conduct research in agriculture and allied sciences

Emoluments : Rs. 10000/- per month
Essential Qualification :
Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science or Agriculture with minimum 3 years of experience in field and/or laboratory
Age Limit : 35 years (5 years relaxation for ST/SC and 3 years for OBC Candidates)
Selection Procedure :
A walk-in-interview will be held on 26th February 2024 in the Directorate of Research, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat from 11.00 AM onwards altogether
