Guwahati: The Judge’s Court Bar Association, Guwahati, has constituted its new executive committee for the 2026-27 term, with Advocate Ajanta Talukdar unanimously re-elected as President for a second consecutive term.
The new executive body was formed during the association’s general meeting held on June 12.
Advocates Dhrubajyoti Das and Mousumi Dutta were elected Vice Presidents, while Advocate Gyanajit Sarma was elected General Secretary for the first time. Advocate Dipak Baruah was chosen as Cultural Secretary.
A 17-member executive committee was also constituted to lead the association over the next two years.
Addressing the meeting, Talukdar announced plans to organise a state-level debate competition involving law colleges across Assam. She also said the association would conduct legal awareness and educational programmes in schools, colleges and universities across the state.
Talukdar said the association would continue its efforts to promote legal awareness and strengthen access to justice through public outreach initiatives.
