Guwahati: After arriving in Delhi ahead of the planned protest, Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the satirical online platform “Cockroach Janta Party”, said he was looking forward to meeting supporters at Jantar Mantar. In a post on X, he wrote, “We have to lead this movement with love and peace!”

From Boston, Dipke had announced plans to return to India on June 6 to participate in a peaceful protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination irregularities.

Education reformer and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has also said he would join the protest if the minister does not step down by June 5.

With the protest approaching, security arrangements were strengthened across Delhi.

Police officials said additional personnel have been deployed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, border entry points, and other sensitive locations.
