The All India Football Federation (AIFF) Disciplinary Committee on Sunday handed out suspensions to FC Goa players Seiminlen Doungel and Hugo Boumous along with NEUFC defender Kai Heerings.
The FC Goa and the NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) players were suspended for misconduct during the 13th match of the Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2019-20 played between the NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) and FC Goa.

The match was played on November 1, 2019 at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, also known as Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati.

Seiminlen Doungel has been suspended for three games, out of which the forward has already served one as a result of a direct red card against NorthEast United FC.

After having missed FC Goa’s away trip to Mumbai City FC, Doungel will have to sit out the matches against Jamshedpur FC at home and Kerala Blasters FC away, the ISL media team said.
Hugo Boumous has received a two-game suspension and is ineligible to play in FC Goa’s next two games. Both Doungel and Boumous will be available for selection when FC Goa face Hyderabad FC in the 35th match of the Hero ISL on December 8, 2019.

Similarly, NorthEast United FC’s Kai Heerings will also serve a two-game suspension for his involvement in the incident.
The Dutch defender will have to sit out the games against Mumbai City FC (home) and Jamshedpur FC (away).
Heerings will be available for selection next in NorthEast United FC’s home tie against ATK on December 7, 2019.
NorthEast United FC, which is co-owned by Bollywood actor John Abraham, gear up for their upcoming match against Mumbai FC to be held on November 27 (Wednesday).
Informing about the match, the NEUFC on its Twitter handle said: “All roads will lead to the Stadium, as the Highlanders look to keep the unbeaten streak alive at home!”
The Northeast-based football club urges the football lovers and its well-wishers to book tickets to enjoy the match on Bookmyshow or offline at Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati; Reliance Trends, Rukminigaon, Guwahati and Reliance Trends, Shillong.
