Longding water supply project
Speaking to reporters, Wangshu Wangsu on Wednesday stated that the water scarcity crisis in Longding township has been a long-pending issue, causing hardship to residents for many years.

Dibrugarh: Local public leaders of Longding district, led by Advocate Wangshu Wangsu, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Pema Khandu and Chowna Mein for including a water supply project for Longding township in the recent 6th (Budget) Session of Arunachal Pradesh’s 8th Legislative Assembly.

Speaking to reporters, Wangshu Wangsu on Wednesday stated that the water scarcity crisis in Longding township has been a long-pending issue, causing hardship to residents for many years.

The inclusion of the water project in the state budget is therefore seen as a historic step for the people of Longding district and the entire Wancho community.

The local public leaders also extended special thanks to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and appreciated the efforts of 59 Longdingโ€“Pumao MLA Thangwang Wangham for taking up the issue and ensuring that the long-awaited project was addressed.

They expressed hope that the project will be implemented at the earliest to provide relief to the people of Longding township and improve overall living conditions in the area.

Meanwhile, the Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society also expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Thangwang Wangham for his sincere efforts in raising and supporting the issue of water scarcity in Longding district.

The society also extended sincere thanks to Pema Khandu and Chowna Mein for announcing the much-needed water supply project for Longding district during the 6th Budget Session of the 8th Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh.

The announcement of the project has brought great hope and relief to the people of Longding district, especially women who often face difficulties due to the ongoing water scarcity.

The society believes that this initiative will greatly improve the living conditions of local residents and ensure access to safe and reliable drinking water.

The Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (Longding branch) appreciated the commitment of the state leadership towards the welfare and development of the people of Longding and expressed hope for the successful and timely implementation of the project for the benefit of the community.

Longding district in Arunachal Pradesh has long faced severe water scarcity, and the new water supply project for Longding township aims to address the issue.
