Dibrugarh: Two tourists from Assam, who were visiting Wakka village in Arunachal Pradesh’s Longding district, met with a bike accident at Sagow Gak (Pahar), a hilly area, at around 6 pm on Thursday.

Despite the difficult terrain, deep gorge, and late evening conditions, residents of Wakka and Ngisa villages responded immediately and carried out a brave rescue operation.

Both victims were rescued alive and safely shifted to a hospital by ambulance.

The timely response and courage shown by the villagers are highly commendable.

The identity of the couple is yet to be ascertained.
