Eighteen more COVID19 positive patients have succumbed to COVID19 infections in Assam on Wednesday, taking the stateโ€™s death toll to 396.

Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Wednesday night said: โ€œVery sad & anguished to inform that 18 more COVID19 positive patients have succumbed to the disease.โ€

The COVID19 victims have been identified as Abdul Hague (65), Dipti Moni Gogoi (44), Eid Muhammad (63) and Phuleswari Deka (58) of Dibrugarh; Indeshwar Das (56) of Charaideo; K.Jndiya (50), Labanya Baruah (79) and Mothang Chutia (60) of Tinsukia.

The other victims have been identified as Tayeb Alom Bora (68) of Sivasagar; Bishnu Pada Saha (50), Biva Rani Saha (70) and Gosto Chandra Barman (59) of Dhubri; Jagdish Ch Das (80) and Madhabananda Goswami (84) Kamrup Metro have.

Golap Chandra Das (60) of Bongaigaon; Rajani Kanta Haloi (72) and Prafulla Kalita (64) of Nalbari, and Bhumi Dutta Sharmah (64) of Sonitpur have also succumbed to COVID19 infection on Wednesday.

โ€œMy condolences to all the families. We stand by you in this hour of grief,โ€ health minister Sarma said.
