Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the state has emerged as one of the top performers in NITI Aayogโs Investment Friendliness Index, reflecting its growing reputation as an attractive destination for investors.
Sarma highlighted that Assamโs progress has been driven by stable policies, improved infrastructure, a supportive business environment and better law and order conditions. He said these factors have helped create a favourable ecosystem for industries and businesses looking to invest in the state.
The Chief Minister also noted that Assam has been ranked as the second-best investment destination among the hilly and Northeastern states. He invited investors to explore opportunities in the state, emphasising Assamโs potential for economic growth and development.
According to Sarma, the governmentโs focus on strengthening connectivity, improving institutional support, reducing business hurdles and investing in education has played a key role in enhancing the stateโs investment appeal.
He added that the Assam government will continue working towards creating a more business-friendly environment and attracting greater domestic and global investments to generate employment and accelerate economic growth.
