โ€œChief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal should make his stand clear on the accord. He should gather some courage to question Delhi about the framework agreement,โ€ Bordoloi said.

Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi   said that Congress would not accept the demand of the NSCN-IM for unification of all Naga-inhabited areas, which includes parts of Assam.

โ€œWe never approve of the greater Nagalim demand. The Nagalim issue should be settled within the territory of Nagaland,โ€ Gogoi said.

โ€œWe want a solution (to the Naga issue) but not at the cost of Assam,โ€ the former Chief Minister reiterated.

Gogoi accused the State government of not putting up a strong case in the Supreme Court which is hearing the inter-State border dispute.
