Imphal: In a series of coordinated security operations across Manipur‘s Imphal West and Thoubal districts, joint security forces arrested four individuals and seized suspected narcotics, firearms, and ammunition, according to the Manipur Police‘s morning bulletin.
In the first operation, security personnel apprehended two alleged drug traffickers from the Leishangthem Khong Manung area under Thoubal Police Station on Sunday. The arrested individuals were identified as MM Mustakim (24) and Md Imtiyaz Ahmad (19), both residents of Irong Chesaba Mayai Leikai in Kakching district.
During the operation, authorities recovered approximately 540 grams of suspected heroin, also known as brown sugar, along with a Maruti Suzuki A-Star bearing registration number MN-06LX-4506.
Based on information obtained during preliminary interrogation, security forces launched a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of Md Sajid Khan (28), a resident of Lilong Leihaokhong in Thoubal district. From his possession, police seized 288 capsules of Serratiopeptidase (SP).
In a separate raid carried out under the jurisdiction of Lamphel Police Station, security forces arrested Khundrakpam Seitabahon Singh (47), alias Bon. A native of Uripok Laikhurembi Leikai, Singh was reportedly residing at Langol Leima Khullen Leikai in Imphal West district.
The raid resulted in the recovery of two .32 calibre pistols along with their magazines and an ammunition box containing 14 rounds of .32 calibre ammunition.
