The whole 11th session of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly on Monday was kept in dark from the eyes of the people of Manipur by the Speaker of the Assembly and the BJP government, the Opposition leader said.

CLP leader O. Ibobi Singh in his press briefing, after the undemocratic trust vote, categorically stated that the Speaker didnโ€™t allow for division vote despite all the Congress MLAsโ€™ demand for it instead of voice vote in the House.

โ€œWhy was the Speaker acting against the constitutional demand of the Opposition Congress MLAs for division vote against the trust vote on motion of confidence today? Why did the Speaker allow voice vote only, when the voice vote was not accepted by the INC MLAs?โ€ the Congress leader questioned.
