The seizure included 12 bottles of Sterling Reserve B7 (half), 4 bottles of Imperial Blue (quarter), 9 bottles of Old Monk (full), 4 bottles of Morpheus (full), and 9 bottles of BP (full).

Imphal: Manipur police, in a crackdown on illegal liquor sales to ensure public safety and prevent potential incidents related to alcohol consumption, have recovered bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and Distilled Indigenous Country (DIC) liquors.

The police said on Saturday that, based on specific information, a team from the Kakching district Police Station conducted a random drive at a den in Kakching Lamkhai and adjacent areas under southern Kakching district around 10 am on Friday.

Though no arrests were made during the drive, the police seized a variety of liquors.

These included 12 bottles of Sterling Reserve B7 (half), 4 bottles of Imperial Blue (quarter), 9 bottles of Old Monk (full), 4 bottles of Morpheus (full), and 9 bottles of BP (full).

Additionally, 16 Kingfisher can beers and 5 bottles of Sterling Reserve B7 (full) were confiscated, along with 8 bottles of Royal Stag (half), 10 bottles of MC No.1 (half), and 1 bottle of Magic Moment (full).

The seizure also included 4 bottles of Old Monk XXX (full), 2 bottles of Old Monk (half), 17 bottles of Kingfisher beer (full), and 16 litres of DIC liquor.

The police report stated that the confiscated items were later handed over to the state Excise Department for further legal proceedings.
