NSCN (IM) camp busted by Indian army

A temporary camp of National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isak-Muivah) or NSCN (IM) was busted by the Indian Army in Tamenglong district of Manipur.

โ€œA huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered by the army from the temporary camp,โ€ sources informed.

โ€œThe operation against the NSCN (IM) was launched by the Army after it received a specific intelligence input about their presence in the area,โ€ sources added.

Sources added that the militants abandoned the hideout after they detected the movement of security forces.

The security personnel recovered one G-3 rifle, one US-made carbine, one country-made carbine, one 9 mm pistol, one point 22 mm pistol, magazines, a large quantity of ammunition, and walkie-talkie sets.

The army, later, handed over the recovered weapons to Tamenglong Police.
