Office of MBOSE

Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) is not in a position to conduct the Improvement Exam in Class XII (HSSLC) for the in-service untrained teachers during the 2019-20 session.

MBOSE executive chairman MHK Marak infomred this in a letter on Monday (September 9) sent to the Under Secretary, State Education Department.

A copy of the letter was also forwarded to the Meghalaya SSA School Association, Central Body (MSSASA).

MSSASA, since a very long time, has been demanding to conduct the improvement Exams in class 12 (HSSLC) for in-service untrained teachers in the State.

โ€œPreparatory work for conducting SSLC and HSSLC examinations for 2020 is already going on and it needs to be completed on time,โ€ the MBOSE letter stated.

โ€œHence, MBOSE is not in a  position to conduct the Improvement Examination in Class 12 (HSSLC) for in-service untrained teachers during the session 2019-20,โ€ the letter added.

โ€œKeeping in mind the interest of the teachers and under the direction of the state government the board can conduct the exam next session,โ€ said Marak

MSSASA general secretary Ralbingland L Nonglait said that the association, since 2017, has been demanding the state government and the MBOSE for conducting the exam.
