The driver and helper of the truck bearing the registration No โ€“ AS01DD7597 โ€“ is absconding.

The Bailey bridge is the only means of communication for the people of Jolebasha area with the rest of the world.

The people are at their witsโ€™ end over the incident. It is reported that when the Manik Sarkar government was in power in Tripura, four pillars were constructed near the existing Bailey bridge to construct a new one.

There has been no progress on the additional bridge construction work since then.
