Agartala: In a major anti-drug operation, Assam Rifles and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized around 4.5 lakh Yaba tablets, valued at approximately Rs 45 crore, in Tripuraโ€™s Khowai district, officials said on Monday.

The contraband was recovered from a Tata truck (registration AS-01T-C7674) at General Area Mungiakami.

One person, identified as Hafijul Haque, a resident of Udalguri in Assam, was apprehended in connection with the seizure. He has been handed over to the DRI for further investigation.

Authorities said additional details are awaited.
