FIR has been registered against BJP National vice-president Raman Singh and partyโ€™s spokesperson Sambit Patra. 

The FIR against the two top BJP leaders in the Country has been registered at the Raipur Civil Lines Police Station in Chhattisgarh. 

The FIR has been registered against BJPโ€™s National Vice President Raman Singh and party spokesperson Sambit Patra for allegedly โ€˜forgingโ€™ the letterhead of AICC Research Department and printing โ€œfalse and fabricatedโ€ content. 

Both the leaders have been summoned by the Raipur Civil Lines Police for further investigation.

โ€œToday, we have asked Sambit Patra to be present here in person or via video conference. The complaint was registered by Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress NSUI president,โ€ Raipur Civil Lines Police SHO RK Mishra said. 

Meanwhile, The Congress has also filed a complaint with Delhi Police against BJP national president JP Nadda, Union Minister Smriti Irani, Sambit Patra, and BJPโ€™s national general secretary BL Santhosh. 

The BJP had linked the Congress to an alleged toolkit to โ€œtarnish the imageโ€ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with some screenshots as โ€œevidenceโ€. 

On Tuesday, BJP leader Sambit Patra shared two screenshots to connect the alleged toolkit to Congress MP Rajeev Gowdaโ€™s office.

The Congress responded by stating the toolkit as fake.  

A case for โ€œspreading fake newsโ€ and โ€œpromoting enmity between classesโ€ was filed at Civil Lines police station.
