Nagaon police has arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly murdering his mother while she was asleep.
Police said the incident took place on Thursday night at Dhemaji village of Phulaguri area under Raha police station in Central Assam.

Police said Pallab Saikia strangled his 65-year-old mother Sadhani Saikia to death at around 2 am on Thursday.
The victim was reportedly sleeping when the son when the youth committed the heinous crime.
Police have booked the youth under relevant sections of the IPC.
