Two people were killed and two others seriously injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed into a tree at high speed in central Assam’s Nagaon district on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred at Dimaruguri and claimed the lives of Himangshu Kakati and Radha Govinda Bora, police said.

“The Mauri Swift car crammed into the tree and two persons died on the spot. The driver was over-speeding,” a police officer said.
The injured persons have been identified as Manabjyoti Saikia and Chinasu Agarwala.
They have been admitted to the district hospital and the bodies sent for post-mortem examination, he said.
