Bajali: A tense situation prevailed in the Banglipara area of Assam’s Bajali district after a Class 4 student of Stella Maris School was allegedly assaulted by a teacher on the school premises.

According to reports, the student was reportedly pushed against a wall by a teacher during school hours. The teacher serves as a computer teacher at the institution.

Following the incident, the injured student was first taken to Bajali Civil Hospital for treatment. Due to the nature of the head injury, the student was later referred to a hospital in Masalpur for further medical care.

Sources stated that during the alleged altercation, the student was forcefully pushed, causing him to hit his head against a wall and sustain injuries. The exact reason behind the incident has not yet been officially confirmed.

Family members of the student have expressed concern over the incident and demanded strict action against the teacher involved. The student is currently undergoing treatment, and his condition is reported to be stable.

The incident has triggered concern among parents and local residents, many of whom have called for a thorough inquiry into the matter. It remains unclear whether the school authorities have initiated any internal investigation or disciplinary proceedings.

The studentโ€™s parents have filed an FIR at the Bhawanipur Police Outpost regarding the incident.
