Dibrugarh: A sense of anxiety and uncertainty has gripped Rangsual village under Barbam Police Outpost in Assamโ€™s Tingkhang constituency after a 29-year-old man, Pranjal Lahon, went missing under mysterious circumstances on May 22.

Lahon, who had recently taken up a job at the canteen of the PNB Girlsโ€™ Hostel inside the Assam Medical College & Hospital (AMCH) campus in Dibrugarh, has not been traced since his disappearance.

Family members said he was last seen on the morning of May 22 when he reportedly left the hostel premises. CCTV footage is believed to have captured his final known movements. Since then, there has been no communication or sign of him.

His mobile phone has been switched off ever since, deepening concerns among relatives. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear and have raised serious questions in the locality.

He is survived by his wife, a six-year-old son, parents, elderly grandmother, and sister, all of whom are anxiously awaiting his return. The family has appealed to the public for any information that could help locate him.

The incident has triggered concern in the village, with locals speculating whether he left on his own or if other factors are involved.

Missing person reports have been filed at Dibrugarh Sadar Police Station, Barbari Police Outpost, and Barbam Police Outpost, with the family urging authorities to intensify search efforts.

As the days pass without any breakthrough, his family members especially his elderly grandmother and parents have made emotional appeals for his safe return, while the community continues to hope for clarity and resolution.
