Guwahati: Tension prevailed at Rodali Path in Bohotia Gaon, Jorhat, on Friday after local residents allegedly busted a suspected sex racket in the area.
According to reports, residents caught several young men and women at the spot and confronted them before informing the police.
Police reached the area following the information and detained three young women and one young man for questioning.
Several other men and women allegedly fled the spot before the police arrived.
Police are investigating the incident to determine whether an organised sex racket was operating in the area.
