Dimapur: Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav on Thursday called for close coordination between government departments and civil society organisations to ensure inclusive and sustainable development.
Interacting with civil society organisations, government departments and beneficiaries of various government schemes at the Chumoukedima DC’s office complex during his visit to the district, Yadav spoke about the vital role of civil society in governance, community development and maintaining social harmony.
He stated that development becomes more meaningful and sustainable when government institutions and civil society work together with a shared sense of responsibility.
“Development should be measured not merely by the number of schemes implemented but by their positive impact on the lives of the people,” he said.
He urged all departments to ensure that government programmes are implemented efficiently, transparently and reach every deserving beneficiary.
Yadav called upon government departments to work with a clear vision, maintain close coordination and remain responsive to public needs.
He also appealed to civil society leaders to continue promoting peace, unity and constructive public participation.
Expressing confidence in the district’s future, he said that with commitment, integrity and teamwork, Chumoukedima would continue to grow as a vibrant district and truly live up to its identity as the “Land of Opportunities”.
