Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reviewed the progress of Project Sadbhavana with senior government officials on August 16, with a focus on speeding up administrative processes and clearing pending cases.
During the review, the government decided to organise departments into 10 clusters, with each cluster to be headed by an Additional Chief Secretary. The arrangement is aimed at ensuring mission-mode monitoring and quicker disposal of pending files and cases.
The government will also launch a dedicated web portal to track pending matters and facilitate their faster resolution.
Sarma directed officials to look beyond the formal closure of files and ensure that administrative decisions actually resolve public grievances and improve citizen satisfaction.
The Chief Minister also assessed relief, rehabilitation and restoration measures in flood-hit Sivasagar, Charaideo, Jorhat and Golaghat districts.
The review covered damage assessment, interim assistance, restoration of schools and Anganwadi Centres, bank moratoriums, insurance claims, and medical and veterinary camps being organised in affected areas.
Sarma instructed officials to speed up restoration work and ensure that all flood-affected families receive timely relief and necessary support.
