Guwahati: Arunachal Pradesh Wushu athlete Nyeman Wangsu has earned a place in the Indian contingent for the 20th Asian Games 2026, set to take place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4.
Congratulating Wangsu on her selection, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu said her achievement was a matter of pride for both the state and the country.
Khandu said Wangsuโs inclusion in the Indian team reflected her determination, discipline and years of hard work in the sport. He extended his best wishes to the athlete ahead of the continental competition and urged her to approach the event with confidence.
โArunachal is Proud. India is Proud!โ the Chief Minister said while congratulating Wangsu.
Khandu also encouraged the Wushu athlete to give her best in Japan and bring pride to Arunachal Pradesh and India at the Asian Games.
