Gauhati University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the govt job of Project Technical Assistant in the Ashtaadashi Project (2024-2025) entitled “Development of Software in Connection with Translation from Sanskrit to Assamese and Assamese to Sanskrit.” The project is under the supervision of Prof. Sudeshna Bhattacharjya, Principal Investigator (P.I.), Department of Sanskrit, Gauhati University, Guwahai-781014, and Dr. Irani Hazarika, Co-Principal Investigator (Co-P.I.), Department of Computer Science, Gauhati University, Guwahati-781014, for a period of three years.

Essential Qualificrtion: M.A in Sanskrit from a recognized institute.
Desirable: Should have proficiency in reading and writing Sanskrit, Assamese and English, along with the ability to translate from and into these languages.
Job Roles : Assist in the laboratory with translation work and perform any other tasks assigned by the P.I. and Co.-P.I.
Monthly Emoluments : Rs. 20,000/- +20% HRA = Rs. 24,000/- per month
Age Limit : Not above 35 years

Essential Qualificrtion: Masters in Computer Science/ Information Technology from a recognized institute.
Desirable : Should possess strong knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning, and Python programming. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to read and write in both Assamese and English.
Job Roles : Assist in the laboratory with translation work and perform any other tasks assigned by the P.I. and Co.-P.I.
Monthly Emoluments : Rs. 20,000/- +20% HRA = Rs. 24,000/- per month
Age Limit : Not above 35 years
