Imphal: The Manipur Judicial Academy organised a training programme on “Nyay Shruti”, a video-conferencing app developed by the Government of India and backed by Section 530 of the BNSS, 2023, on August 8.
Held at the High Court of Manipur auditorium, the programme was inaugurated by Justice Golmei Gaiphulshillu Kabui and focused on training judicial officers and staff in the use of virtual court tools.
The programme was conducted with the objective of familiarising judicial officers and staff of the District Courts of Manipur with the features, operation and practical application of the Nyay Shruti system in judicial proceedings.
The training focused on the use of technology to facilitate the recording and management of court proceedings. Participants were acquainted with the functioning of the system, its relevance to the administration of justice and the manner in which it can contribute to greater efficiency, accuracy and accessibility in judicial processes.
The resource persons delivered detailed presentations and demonstrations on various aspects of Nyay Shruti. The session also provided an opportunity for participants to discuss practical issues, raise queries and seek clarification regarding the implementation and use of the system.
The programme is part of the continuing efforts of the Manipur Judicial Academy to promote technological competence among judicial officers and staff of the District Courts and strengthen the effective use of digital tools in the justice delivery system.
The training programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the participants and resource persons for their valuable contributions to its successful conduct.
