Dimapur: The Dimapur Police Commissionerate has declared Chumoukedima district a โred zoneโ or โno-fly zoneโ on April 2 in view of an upcoming VIP movement, imposing a series of restrictions to ensure heightened security.
In an official order issued on Wednesday, Commissioner of Police Aotula T Imchen stated that the restrictions will be in force from 6 am to 6 pm, during which the use of drones and any form of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) will be strictly prohibited across the district.
The order also bans all forms of firing practice during the specified period. This includes activities by security forces, civil police, private agencies, and even licensed firearm holders.
Additionally, the bursting of firecrackers has been strictly restricted within the same timeframe as part of the security protocol.
The directive has been issued to facilitate the safe and smooth movement of the VIP, with authorities maintaining a high level of alert across the district.
Commissioner Imchen has urged residents to cooperate with the administration and adhere to the restrictions to ensure public safety and avoid any inconvenience during the period.
